This anthology is short and sweet, a few of the finest things we found in the garden this summer, including a few critters I caught. I call this little guy Felix. He won’t bite. I think him’s a possum. Felix likes gettin’ his chin rubbed. Who don’t! Did you know Felix is derived from a Latin agricultural term meaning “fruit-bearing,” “fertile,” and stuff like that? Isn’t that neat? Felix, as an adjective, also suggests happiness, good-fortune, and luck. How cool is that? Lucky number 7!
Okay, okay—the others say I gotta be serious, even though I just wanna play. But hey, readin’ issue seven is like playin’, ain’t it? You tell me.
